One whole free range chicken in every kilogram of our food
When most other dry foods claim to use ‘fresh chicken’, they’re often using stripped carcass, a by-product from the human food chain. They usually add ‘chicken meal’, a processed powdered ingredient that’s not fit for human consumption, and label it as ‘dried chicken’.
We only use whole free range chickens in our recipes, so your pet gets all the best meat cuts. Our birds are reared on free range farms to the highest welfare standards. Find out more about our chickens here.
Other brands use chicken carcass and meat meal to make their food
All McAdams foods are 100% fresh meat, we never use any powdered meat meals which are low grade and not fit for human consumption. You will see meat meals labelled as dried chicken or lamb, or dehydrated or air-dried meats on Ingredient Lists.
Green-lipped mussel for enhanced joint care
Native to the coastal waters of New Zealand, green lipped mussels are one of nature’s best kept secrets. They are a fantastic source of glucosamine, chondroitin and marine lipids, all of which have been proven to support healthy joints.
If you’re curious why it’s called ‘green-lipped’, it’s because it has a lovely emerald-green tinge on the edge of its shell.
