Our Ingredients

Our dry food is the only pet food sourced from RSPCA Assured farms
We make the only dry pet food sourced from RSPCA Assured farms and we want to encourage people who share our values to think about how their pets’ food is farmed, as well as their own.
Every pack of McAdams baked complete sold in the UK will raise funds to support the RSPCA’s vital work. We have pledged a minimum of £80,000 to the RSPCA in the first year of our partnership.

One whole free range chicken in every kilogram of our food
When most other dry foods claim to use ‘fresh chicken’, they’re often using stripped carcass, a by-product from the human food chain. They usually add ‘chicken meal’, a processed powdered ingredient that’s not fit for human consumption, and label it as ‘dried chicken’.
We only use whole free range chickens in our recipes, so your pet gets all the best meat cuts. Our birds are reared on free range farms to the highest welfare standards. Find out more about our chickens here.

Other brands use chicken carcass and meat meal to make their food
All McAdams foods are 100% fresh meat, we never use any powdered meat meals which are low grade and not fit for human consumption. You will see meat meals labelled as dried chicken or lamb, or dehydrated or air-dried meats on Ingredient Lists.

Daily Feeding Guidelines for puppies:
Just like people, all dogs are different and have different dietary needs depending on their metabolism and activity level. Please use the quantities below as a guide, and adjust your dog’s meal size accordingly if you feel that your dog is either losing or gaining weight. Most dogs prefer their daily amount to be split between two meals.
